TNFD Free Learning Platform
The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has launched a free learning platform aimed at providing courses on nature related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities, as well as TNFD advice and guidance.
The TNFD believes that natural assessment and reporting have become important topics of concern for stakeholders, but for most people, natural information disclosure is more unfamiliar than climate information disclosure. TNFD’s free learning platform can help with beginners as well as professionals.

Introduction to TNFD Free Learning Platform
Users only need to register an account to access the free learning platform. The platform mainly consists of three parts, namely dashboard, module, and unit. The dashboard provides an overview of users’ learning progress on the platform, as well as the latest updates on learning resources. The module summarizes TNFD recommendations and guidelines, including basic concepts and practical application guidance. Units are learning resources such as text, videos, etc. within modules. Currently, all content is provided in English, but some content has translation options. As an interactive learning platform, TNFD will not provide a certificate after completing the learning.
The TNFD free learning platform currently consists of nine modules, namely:
- Foundations.
- Corporate Reporting.
- Assessing Nature related issues.
- Metrics for assessment and reporting.
- Target setting and transition planning.
- Scenario thinking and scenario analysis.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Contributing to nature positive outcomes.
- Shifting the flow of global capital-nature stewardship.
When users click on a module, they can see many different units inside, which will be continuously updated by TNFD. Users can learn in order or start by learning the content they are interested in and can manually mark it after completing the learning. Users will see learning outcomes on the dashboard and can ask TNFD questions. TNFD plans to add more content in the future to provide comprehensive nature related learning materials.
