2025 Sustainability Signals Report
Deloitte releases its 2025 Sustainability Signals report, aimed at analyzing the impact of sustainability issues on daily life.
This survey involves approximately 20000 people from 20 jurisdictions, including three parts: family, work, and social participation.

Attitude towards Sustainable Development
Since 2021, Deloitte has been continuously surveying respondents’ attitudes towards climate change. More than half of the respondents have experienced extreme weather in recent years, with extreme heat being the most common category. Respondents who have experienced extreme weather are significantly more concerned about climate change than those who have not experienced it. More than 70% of global respondents believe that climate change is caused by human activities, which is consistent with scientific research, and the proportion of people in Europe and the United States who agree with this view is lower than the global average. From age perspective, young respondents are more concerned about climate change than the elderly population.
Sustainable Consumption and Financial Choices
60% of respondents have taken action to address climate change, a decrease compared to 2023 and 2024. For example, in terms of relocation decisions, 50% of respondents consider the impact of climate change, and 11% of respondents plan to relocate due to climate impact. The younger group (66%) considers climate impacts more than the older group (35%). 33% of respondents plan to incorporate climate factors into their investments, and nearly half of respondents purchase sustainable products at least once a month, but also consider product cost, quality, and functionality. Price remains the most important challenge for respondents when choosing sustainable products.
Sustainable Development and Working Activities
38% of respondents believe that their employers are taking measures to address sustainable issues such as climate change, a decrease of 7 percentage points compared to 2021. 25% of respondents consider the sustainability of their new employer when choosing a job. Deloitte suggests that companies take more measures to educate employees about sustainable themes, increase information transparency, and avoid adverse effects.
